Job Summary
Gain hands-on microbiology lab experience performing microbiology testing that supports the production of medicines. Learn to prepare and analyse laboratory samples while learning how to record and interpret results, follow safe working practices, and help maintain laboratory equipment. Work closely with team members and build independence as you split time between on-site lab work (3 days) and study (2 days) with SETU, pursuing a recognised qualification and developing skills applicable to microbiology in healthcare and biopharma environments.
Required Qualifications
- Pass (minimum Grade 06) in 5 Leaving Certificate subjects one of which must be maths and a science subject
- 250 CAO points
- Level 6 Qualification in a related discipline
- Eligibility to apply as a mature student
