Job Summary
Microbiology Analyst role on 1st shift in a pharma environment: perform environmental monitoring and quality control of aseptic areas, conduct testing on finished products, raw materials, and components, and prepare reports while maintaining SOPs and GMP compliance. Responsibilities include executing micro tests, environmental monitoring, data entry, validation and annual testing, sample handling, WFI testing, lab maintenance, and supporting special projects. Requires a bachelor’s degree in science and 1-3 years in a lab, with strong knowledge of lab practices, equipment, data management, safety, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced GMP setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field from a regionally accredited institution
- 1-3 years’ experience in a laboratory setting
- Knowledge of contemporary laboratory practices and procedures
- Knowledge of operating laboratory equipment including laboratory balances and instrumentation
- Proficiency in general computer functions (Microsoft Office, spreadsheets)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong safety sensibility and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and interpersonal communication
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to SOPs and GMPs
- Ability to wear protective attire and follow gowning procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to contribute to a cooperative, compliant laboratory environment
