Microbiologist Technician

Job Summary
Execute microbiological and environmental monitoring activities in a sterile manufacturing setting, including sampling, microbial analysis, and documentation in compliance with GMP and industry standards. Independently conduct routine testing for product samples, utilities, surfaces, air, and personnel while operating biological safety cabinets and laboratory instrumentation. Prepare media, sampling kits, and test solutions per SOPs, perform routine cleaning and sanitization of lab spaces, and document results accurately in validated systems. Support cross-functional collaboration with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Facilities, and contribute to inventory management and reagent tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related scientific discipline
- 1-3 years of experience in QC Microbiology function within the pharmaceutical industry
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Understanding of aseptic technique, processes, and compliance
- Understanding of industry regulations and compliance
- Experience working in bio safety cabinets
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Desired Qualifications
- Microbiology preferred
- Prior experience in aseptic manufacturing environment
- Experience with disinfectant efficacy studies and facility validation
