Job Summary
The Microbiologist Specialist will serve as the microbiology and allergen subject matter expert for multiple production sites in Europe and South Africa. Key responsibilities include managing third-party laboratories, implementing microbiological testing practices, conducting internal lab audits, providing training and development for microbiology programs, and evaluating food safety and quality risks. The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience and a Master's degree in a related field, along with fluency in English and Spanish. Strong leadership skills and the ability to analyze data and foster continuous improvement are essential.
Required Qualifications
- MBA or Masters in Microbiology, Biology or Food Science
- 10+ years of experience in Microbiological technical/laboratory & personnel leadership
- Lab management, microbiological analysis, hazard analysis, quality assurance
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in English & Spanish (oral & written)
- Ability to work in systems (LIMS, Product Lifecycle Management, Enterprise Quality Management System, etc.)
- Statistical data analysis
