Job Summary
Oversee complex microbiological testing, research, and analysis while leading scientific projects and developing new methodologies. Advise on bacteriology procedures for detection, isolation, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing, particularly regarding emerging resistance among carbapenem-resistant organisms. Coordinate technical reviews, manage project protocols per CEMB QMS guidelines, and perform data analyses to prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders. Lead or contribute to laboratory research studies with internal and external partners, assist with troubleshooting non-conforming events, and conduct site visits to educate laboratory personnel on testing protocols. This senior-level role requires 5-7 years of relevant experience, an MS or MPH, and expertise in molecular biology methods. Salary ranges from $95,000 to $100,000 annually. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant microbiology laboratory experience, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Expertise in advanced microbiological techniques, including molecular biology methods, microbial identification, and culture techniques
- Experience in method development and validation
- 3 years of clinical lab or public health lab microbiology/bacteriology experience
- MS or MPH preferred minimum degree
