Job Summary
Review routine microbiological test results and provide technical support for sterilization, environmental monitoring, and microbiological methods. Conduct out-of-specification investigations, analyze sterilization process data, and execute qualifications for controlled access environments and water systems. Develop and execute validation protocols for new technologies and equipment, while writing reports for sterilization and test methods. Ensure correct documentation linkage, complete environmental disturbance reports, and perform LAL risk assessments. Train laboratory technicians on new equipment and procedures. Comply with FDA regulations and Quality Management Systems requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) -Microbiology or related science or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 2 years medical device, medical, pharmaceutical, food industry, or related industry (FDA controlled)
- Experience in Microbiology and/or sterilization
- Person in this position demonstrates professional skills with excellent written communication
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to travel approximately 5-10%, including internationally
