Job Summary
Microbiologist I (1st shift) performs and interprets microbiology tests (sterility, endotoxin, growth promotion, microorganism identification) and supports QC and production management. Responsibilities include aseptic testing, gown qualification, EM testing, endotoxin assays, media testing, documentation of microbial morphology, and training/collaboration to drive quality improvements. Requires a Bachelor’s in Biology, 0–2 years in QC Microbiology, and US work authorization; on-site, full-time in Sugar Land, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or related discipline
- 0-2 years of experience in QC Microbiology
- Able to perform aseptic manipulations and work in a biological safety cabinet or laminar flow hood
- Proficient with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and electronic documentation systems
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship
- Must be able to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
