Job Summary
Production Supervisor for micro molded plastic parts responsible for training, directing, coaching and supervising production workers on the assigned shift. Coordinates tasks to ensure on-time delivery, communicates production issues with shifts, Scheduling, Tool Room, and Engineering; works with HR on attendance and performance; ensures operators are trained, follows work instructions, and records relevant data; leverages IQMS/MRPII and Kanban systems, collaborates with Manufacturing Engineer on continuous-improvement projects, and enforces safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school education coursework or GED required
- Experience or training in manufacturing using quality systems
- Ability to use measuring and inspection equipment to monitor quality
- Ability to read and understand Real Time, Inventory and Production Scheduling screens in IQMS
- Ability to read, comprehend, and utilize instructions and short correspondence with coworkers and supervisors
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a number of concrete variables
- Willingness to attend classes or training to enhance and update knowledge and skills
