Job Summary
Perform assembly and testing of complex electro-optic and photonic assemblies and subassemblies, including optical modules and fiber optic components, with guidance from principal engineers. Set up work areas, conduct experiments, test equipment, and record data; may involve machining/fabrication of parts, mechanical/opto-mechanical subassemblies, soldering, and cable/wire harness work in a manufacturing environment. Role is 100% onsite in East Hartford, CT on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Requires ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred experience with optics/optical R&D prototyping and IPC/J-STD certifications; proficient with MS Word/Excel; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
