Job Summary
Mental Health Therapist provides diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and treatment planning in a Sea Mar Community Health Centers setting. The role involves coordination with the psychiatric service provider, case management, program development support, and adherence to regulatory requirements (WACs/RCWs). Requires a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, an active Washington state license (Agency Affiliated Counselor or Mental Health Associate License), and at least four years of experience, with strong emphasis on culturally-aware, client-centered care and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work which includes coursework in psychological diagnostics
- Four or more years’ experience in the field
- Active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License (or Mental Health Associate License)
- Must pass a background check
- Must have and maintain a current TB test
- Annual influenza vaccine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and ongoing
- Minimum 80 hours of face-to-face contact and 80 encounters monthly (productivity standard)
