Job Summary
Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health while upholding exceptional customer service standards. Monitor compliance with program rules, provide security assistance, and manage patient behavior to maintain a safe therapeutic milieu. Document patient departures, transportation, significant occurrences, observed behavior, vital signs, and findings on assigned patients. Assist clinicians with patient care tasks and therapists with therapeutic interventions while performing clerical duties for Health Information Management, intake, and administrative support. Organize and prioritize work to complete assignments within established time restraints and procedural guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D.
- Ability to speak English and communicate effectively
- Must be able to stand on feet for long intervals
- Must have dexterity to participate in physical restraint of patients when necessary
- Ability to satisfy requirements for Healthcare Provider CPR and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience in a mental health care setting (preferably as a Mental Health Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant)
- Appropriate education in a mental health related field
