Job Summary
Fill store customer orders using pick lists and prepare shipments according to company standards. Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves, ensuring completeness and correctness of all filled orders. Mark pallets with identifying store information, pick and stage parts for deliveries, and replenish inventory to shelves. Handle shipping and receiving inventory while maintaining back stock. Use lift equipment as needed once trained and certified. Read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Perform duties requiring standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds. Work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Advance Auto Parts serves professional installers and DIY customers across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)/Home School equivalency
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Being able to work on various shifts, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Close vision
- Distance vision
- Ability to adjust focus
