Job Summary
Assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from admission through discharge while coordinating delivery with the interdisciplinary team. Collect and analyze principles of patient-centered care based on physical, psychological, and socio-cultural factors, leveraging available technology. Provide relationship-based care using the nursing process to promote continuous, accountable delivery with a focus on patient experience. Identify immediate care requirements, prioritize tasks, delegate to peers and ancillary staff, and communicate patient information clearly in verbal and written formats. Maintain a safe therapeutic environment by identifying potential safety issues and incorporating HRO quality principles. Practice within legal boundaries, evaluate patient progress toward short-range goals, and revise interventions as appropriate. Initiate and monitor discharge planning activities in collaboration with the team. Participate in multi-disciplinary quality improvement teams, department meetings, and community outreach efforts to support organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Basic computer skills
