Job Summary
Site Lead Subcontracts/Procurement Manager role overseeing Subcontracts/Procurement teams at Rolling Meadows, IL with oversight of Buffalo, NY and Apopka, FL sites; responsibilities include leading and developing a large team, translating program needs into procurement actions, negotiating long-term agreements, designing sourcing partnerships, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS/CAS/DCAA, preparing bid packages, reviewing supplier agreements, and communicating procurement status to senior leadership; required deep contracting expertise across DoW/non-DoW terms, experience with multiple contract types (T&M, FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, CR), and strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder-management skills; travel up to 25%, active SECRET clearance, US Citizenship; salary range $167,500-$251,300; relocation assistance not offered; remote/hybrid onsite arrangement in Rolling Meadows, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in Subcontracts Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Program Management or Contracts Management OR Master’s Degree with 6+ years of experience in Subcontracts Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Program Management or Contracts Management
- Experience managing Subcontract Programs and/or a Subcontracts Team of 8+ people in support of major defense programs
- 6+ years of people leadership experience with at least 4 years as a manager
- Experience with compliance to U.S. Government FAR/DFARS, CAS, and DCAA audit procedures for defense programs
- Experience with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
- Ability to travel at least 25%
- US Citizenship required
- Active SECRET security clearance required to start
- DoD (DoW) Subcontract Management/Procurement experience
- Knowledge of EVMS
- Negotiation skills with contracts >$50M
- Experience with Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable formats
- Experience conducting oral presentations to senior leadership
- Primary Level Salary Range: $167,500-$251,300
