Job Summary
Mgr-Spa&Fitness supports the Director of Recreation in all aspects of the pool and beach areas, including overall maintenance, daily upkeep, cleanliness and operation of cabana units; provides and models service behavior to guests and employees; seeks to improve guest and employee satisfaction and financial performance; works with direct reports to carry out departmental strategies; supervises and manages employees, schedules events and activities, coordinates training, and oversees children’s programs, water sports and vendor relationships to ensure high standards of service and smooth operations; delivers personal assistance and customer care to coworkers and guests, and coaches staff to achieve performance objectives; emphasizes teamwork, coaching, and mutual respect while maintaining safety and operational quality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 1 year experience in the recreation/health club operations or related professional area
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required
