Job Summary
Engineering Manager to lead delivery teams focused on advancing Disney’s core commerce platform. You will own and mentor full stack software engineers, web developers, application architects, product managers and scrum masters, drive multiple large projects, and collaborate with cross-site teams to develop platform vision and roadmaps. You’ll provide technical leadership across architecture design, evaluation of architectural fit, resource scheduling, delivery milestones, and overall product quality; present project statuses and platform roadmaps to senior leaders; and ensure quality through deployment planning, integration, operations, and sustainability. You’ll oversee on-call support, engage with stakeholders and vendor partners, and manage budgets, invoices, and contracts while fostering a culture of quality and experience improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of development experience (preferably full stack)
- 5+ years managing engineering and technology delivery teams
- Experience with highly-scalable architectures, patterns, and technologies (Java, GraphQL, NoSQL, Event-Driven Architecture)
- Experience creating architecture designs with resiliency and performance
- Experience managing a globally distributed delivery team using Agile methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting for production and test environments
- Experience in a large media, technology or internet company
- Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field/work experience
- Proven ability to manage software development lifecycle platforms and tools
