Job Summary
Oversee the Security Management Program across all Stamford Health locations, serving as the department representative on organizational committees. Develop, implement, and enforce security policies to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation requirements while managing access control processes for employees, physicians, volunteers, contractors, and vendors. Administer the Access Control System, handling system troubleshooting, privilege management, badge production, and maintenance. Supervise Security staff, including hiring, scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and incident response for emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, and hazardous materials events. Coordinate parking assignments and vendor contracts, manage departmental budgets, and lead safety programs including Environment of Care Inspections and disaster drills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in security and safety operations, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Associate's degree with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in healthcare safety and security may be substituted.
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of Access Control Management experience required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in parking, valet, and transportation services operations preferred
- Prior staff supervisory or management experience preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA, PHI, and confidentiality requirements
- Must exhibit a high degree of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare professional reports and presentations

- CCure 9000 experience strongly preferred
