Job Summary
Mgr RN Case manages and utilizes resources for an entire episode of care, performing clinical information review for government and insurer approval of hospital care, optimizing reimbursement, and coordinating discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team. Requires an active Tennessee RN license; 5+ years hospital or managed care experience; familiarity with Meditech, Allscripts Care Management, Interqual Criteria, and payer guidelines; weekend rotation; strong communication and organizational skills to support discharge planning and appeals processes.
Required Qualifications
- Current Tennessee RN license
- 5 years related hospital or managed care experience
- Case Management Certification preferred/required within 3 years of employment
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge in medical/surgical nursing and/or critical care
