Job Summary
As the Materials Manager, you will oversee the purchasing, inventory management, and training of staff in a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient material supply for production. Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating buying activities, analyzing material availability, and maintaining records of goods. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree related to business or supply chain management, along with 5-10 years of management experience and a proven ability in continuous improvement processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Chemistry or Supply Chain
- 5-10 years of management experience in manufacturing/chemical processing environment
- Ability to supervise/manage associates
- Proven abilities to successfully drive continuous improvement, manage multiple priorities, and multitask
- Ability to collaborate well with other peer groups
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Prior paint manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
