Job Summary
Oversee and manage the maintenance and housekeeping departments, including the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. Direct staff to analyze mechanical and operational problems, implement corrective actions, and execute the Preventative Maintenance Plan. Lead safety and personnel training, manage outsourced maintenance activities, and review expenditures to ensure profitability. Develop measurement systems to track machine uptime and PM programs while ensuring compliance with FDA and cGMP practices. Identify and implement improvement items to eliminate waste and non-conforming product. Requires 7+ years in maintenance and 3+ years managing people, with the ability to work 8–12 hours daily, stand for extended periods, wear a respirator, and handle on-call requests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work
- At least 7 years maintenance experience
- Ability to frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours per day for up to 6 days a week
- Ability to work overtime and must be available for on-call requests as needed
- Must be able to wear a full face respirator
- Must be able to work in hot and humid conditions
- Experience in liquid filling in cGmp, FDA Environment
