Job Summary
Manage import operations across all FBIN companies by partnering with Purchasing to align product delivery expectations with distribution centers. Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, forwarders, and distribution centers while overseeing integration of external systems with SAP and the Transportation Management System. Collaborate cross-functionally to meet delivery timelines, lead the annual RFP process for drayage and transload services, and identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs. Serve as the primary point of contact for drayage operations, delivering weekly and monthly performance updates across organizational levels. Offer innovative solutions for complex transportation challenges and align carrier capacity strategies with internal and external customer requirements. This role requires in-office presence Tues-Thurs at the Deerfield HQ.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in a people leadership role
- Strong understanding of drayage and transload services
- Proven track record with RFP bid processes
- Ability to multitask across multiple transportation modes
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Location: This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, requiring in office presence Tues-Thurs at our Deerfield HQ
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing drayage carriers preferred
- Experience with MercuryGate and InforNexus preferred
