Job Summary
Global Optical Components Category Strategy Sourcing Manager responsible for developing and executing global category strategies for optical components to support growth, cost competitiveness, and supply resilience; partners with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Program teams to support NPI execution, drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and tech alignment for high-speed optics used in AI and accelerated computing interconnects; involves RFQs for NPI programs, supplier development, cost reduction through should-cost analysis, and cross-functional coordination to achieve KPIs (cost savings, lead time, MOQ, dual sourcing, localization). The role requires regular visits to the Rochester, NY plant, 25-50% travel, and a Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years in related roles and 5 years of people management; compensation range $130,700-$196,000 with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; Engineering background strongly preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a global or regional commodity role within a multinational company
- At least 5 years of people management experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience with optical-related commodities
- Proven experience working with suppliers across the Asia Pacific/US/global regions
