Job Summary
Manage the Maintenance and Process Engineering department across two Smurfit Westrock Białystok production sites, overseeing reliability of machinery and leading a team of specialists in automation and technological development. Plan and supervise inspections, maintenance, and repairs for production equipment while driving projects for modernization, investment, and Industry 4.0 implementation. Optimize production processes through Lean Manufacturing principles and manage the Maintenance Management System (MMS/CMMS). Collaborate with Production, Quality, HSE, Procurement, and Logistics teams to align operations with legal, industry, and safety standards. Lead budget management for the department and coordinate with vendors and service providers. Develop team capabilities through coaching and mentoring.
Required Qualifications
- Higher technical education (mechanics, automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering or related)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing Maintenance in a production environment
- Experience with projects in the field of automation, robotics or Industry 4.0
- Ability to effectively manage a team and build employee engagement
- Fluent communication in the English language
- Knowledge of CMMS/MMS systems, MS Office and tools supporting maintenance management
- Analytical thinking, ability to cope with a dynamic environment and make decisions under time pressure
- Making decisions based on data and using efficiency indicators to improve technical processes
- Experience in leading technological transformation related to automation, digitization or implementing Smart Factory solutions
- Innovation mindset and continuous improvement, supported by initiating and implementing improvements increasing efficiency, safety and reliability of processes
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certifications
- SEP licenses
- Experience in the field of cobotization and modern industrial automation systems
