Job Summary
Manages engineering/maintenance operations and budgets for the hotel property with focus on safety, security, and asset protection. Oversees facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water treatment), regulatory compliance, and energy conservation; develops service contracts and supervises preventive maintenance; conducts monthly property and guest room inspections; coordinates with city departments, fire prevention, and vendors; leads in disaster response and guest/employee satisfaction through effective communications and training; supervises staffing and HR activities related to safety and evacuation procedures; maintains licenses and certifications for property life-safety systems; supports capital projects and asset replacement in line with budgetary guidelines; fosters a positive guest experience through leadership and service quality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
