Job Summary
Primary purpose of this role is to drive the execution of the inventory strategy for selected commodity segments across a multi-distribution network. End-responsible for planning, procurement, and vendor collaboration, ensuring seamless flow of goods from vendor to distribution centers to support customer demand. Key focuses include achieving Fill Rate and Inventory Turn objectives, reviewing purchase orders, optimizing order quantities, evaluating supplier performance, addressing overstocks and discontinued items, training the team on buying systems, identifying root causes of supply constraints, collaborating with Merchandising and Demand Planning, and participating in the S&OP process to align supply plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Three years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, operations, and customers
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
