Job Summary

Manage the advanced practice provider team in acute behavioral health services, guiding hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring while overseeing productivity and budget implementation. Direct clinical practice by assessing pediatric patients, synthesizing data to develop individualized care plans, ordering diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications in accordance with state statutes and hospital policies. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistent clinical standards, evaluate patient outcomes, and implement therapeutic interventions. Lead clinical project planning, precept nursing students, and support continuous quality improvement through research participation and best practice identification.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate Degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) or PA program from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • APRN-BC - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board Certified
  • PA - Physician Assistant
  • CPNP-AC - Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care
  • PA-C - Physician Assistant
  • BLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
  • DEA License
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Cardiology only)
  • Must be knowledgeable in billing regulation practices to include documentation requirements/CPT coding regulations
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without loss of efficiency or composure, and be able to perform under stressful conditions when confronted with multiple requests, demonstrating prioritizing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines
  • Legible handwriting skills
  • Ability to be self-directed, with minimum supervision, and detail oriented
  • Must satisfy all relevant criteria and qualifications outlined in the Medical Staff Policy on Allied Health Professional, required to be credentialed
  • Must maintain practice agreement with service of specialty, and practices within framework of respective scope of practice
