Job Summary
Create preliminary reports for physician review and signature. Review studies with physicians and assist with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. Code services performed and maintain proper operation of ultrasound equipment, including recognizing malfunctions and taking corrective action. Follow accredited laboratory protocols for obtaining two-dimensional images, color flow, Doppler, and m-mode. Maintain laundry for examination rooms and manage inventory of ultrasound supplies. Full-time position with a starting salary of $55.00-$60.00/hr based on experience. Requires ARDMS OB/GYN certification or eligibility, CPR certification, and completion of an accredited sonography program. Must provide evidence of continuing education credits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent
- ARDMS OB/GYN certified or eligible
- Completion of a program containing OB/GYN ultrasonography
- CPR certification
- Satisfactory completion of one of the following; at least two (2) years in Allied Health Educational Program and one (1) year on-the-job- training in ultrasonography, or completion of an approved ultrasonography educational program
- Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
- Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccination or an approved request for accommodation is required as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Fetal echo certification or eligible to obtain with 12 months of hire
- Fetal echo experience preferred or will be provided
