MFLC Assignment Ready Counselor

Job Summary
Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children, and youth of service members and their families at military installations; support MFLC services across DoD contexts, DoDEA schools, youth programs, summer camps, and on-demand/surge assignments; deliver brief therapy, trainings and health-wellness presentations; perform assessments, action planning, referrals, and follow-up; maintain confidentiality and coordinate with installation POC; adapt to diverse environments including school settings and various base locations; travel as needed and be prepared for assignments of varying duration and location.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field, or social work
- Current licensure required that meets State requirements (e.g., LPC)
- Ability to work with adults, children, and youth in military settings
- Willingness to accept assignments of varying length including weekends
- Fluency in English
- US Citizenship or eligibility as required by the installation or contract
- Experience or familiarity with military culture and DoD/MFLC programs
