MFLC Assignment Ready Counselor (Florida Panhandle)

Job Summary
ARC CYB counselor role providing non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children and youth of service members across MFLC assignments at military installations in the Florida Panhandle; supports on-demand, surge, and seasonal assignments (including school summer programs) with potential backing of DoDEA schools, community schools, youth programs, and DoD installation activities; maintains confidentiality, follows DoD DoD-specific reporting and linkages to resources, and uses a mobile/web data-entry system for activity reporting; requires a Master’s degree in a mental health field or social work and current independent licensure, with flexibility for weekend or short-notice deployments and travel within the installation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field or social work
- Current licensure as an independently licensed behavioral health clinician (e.g., LPC, LMHC, LCPC, LCSW) per state requirements
- Ability to cover undefined periods including weekends
- Experience working in school settings or with DoDEA/youth programs preferred
- Fluency in English; prior military culture experience preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC/LMHC/LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
- Experience with military culture or DoD/MFLC programs
- Ability to obtain required state licensure for Florida and other states as applicable
- Strong short-term, solution-focused counseling skills
- Experience working in school settings or DoDEA environments
- Flexibility to cover weekend/short-notice assignments
- Excellent communication and rapport-building with service members and families
- Compliance with immunization/vaccination requirements as applicable
- Proficiency with data entry and reporting via mobile/web apps
- Bilingual in English preferred but not required
