Job Summary
Mfg. Support / Shipping & Receiving - Material Handler role in Guilford, CT. Responsible for material handling, production support, aluminum furnace operation, bell furnace setup and operation, shipping & receiving, product inspection and quality control, and safety & compliance. Requires cycle counting with RF Gun, forklift certification, ability to operate powered production equipment and scales, and following process sheets. Training approximately 90 days; shift is 1st shift (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM) with pay starting at $22/hour, rising to $23.00 at 90 days and $23.75/hour at 1 year. In-person work location. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Shipping and Receiving/Material Handler: 2 years (Required)
- Forklift Certification
- Reading and comprehension skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; ability to read and interpret process sheets and other production documents
- Ability to adjust to changes in equipment/tools and modifications to existing equipment for the purposes of continuous improvement
- Ability to operate powered production equipment
- Ability to operate the scale computer
- Ability to follow safe work practices in a manufacturing environment
