Mfg Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment including gearboxes, motors, robotics, and conveyor systems. Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers and lighting fixtures, replacing faulty components and damaged wiring. Weld stainless steel, install power supply wiring and conduit, and program frequency drives or controllers as required. Operate metalworking tools like lathes and drill presses to make and repair parts, while performing weekly preventative maintenance on state-of-art equipment. Act as a subject matter expert to resolve moderately difficult issues, escalate problems to supervisors, and provide assistance to junior staff. Maintain general housekeeping and follow all safety policies and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associate's Degree
- 2 - 4 years' related experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Forklift Certification
- Ability to lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Availability to respond to call-ins on off-hours
