Job Summary
Create and modify product models and drawings; prepare drawings/sketches using CAD software; collaborate with Designers, Technicians, Engineers, and Project Managers to coordinate designs; develop preliminary sketches and models reflecting concepts; recommend technical changes; provide CNC programming for new/special parts; modify design features for manufacturability; build prototypes for concept evaluation; perform tolerance analysis under engineer direction; prepare product, fabrication, and assembly drawings for jigs/fixtures; assist in engineering change notices; support building of product specials.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology (or related field) and 2-5 years of work-related experience, or equivalent knowledge with 2-5 years of work-related experience. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access). AutoCAD experience required, Solid Edge experience preferred, CNC programming experience a plus.
