Job Summary
Early Head Start Teacher responsible for the overall management of a classroom and implementation of Head Start objectives; ensure compliance with Texas licensing and Head Start Performance Standards; develop individualized and group activities for infants and toddlers; promote parental involvement and positive guidance; maintain a calm, safe, and stimulating environment; plan and document child progress, conduct home visits or conferences with families as needed, and participate in staff meetings. Requires CDA or equivalent credential and ability to work in a center setting; full-time schedule with potential occasional travel. Must meet required certifications (CPR/First Aid) and maintain records in accordance with agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- CURRENT CDA OR COMPARABLE CREDENTIAL OR EQUIVALENT COURSEWORK IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT WITH FOCUS ON INFANT AND TODDLER DEVELOPMENT
- AT LEAST 3 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH INFANT AND TODDLERS IN A LICENSED CHILDCARE FACILITY
