Metrology Technician

Investigate instrument/equipment issues and perform calibration, maintenance, and qualification activities for laboratory instrumentation to support GMP/GLP-compliant operations. Responsibilities include coordinating on-site vendor calibrations/repairs, reviewing vendor certificates for accuracy, executing testing for change controls and validation protocols, and assisting with the evaluation of new technology. Maintain documentation, write transmittal letters for shipments, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Must work effectively in a team and independently, with strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new techniques. Minimum one year of lab instrumentation experience; PC experience required. Bachelor’s degree in physical science is preferred; instrument repair and troubleshooting experience is helpful. This is a full-time role based in Portage, MI; in-person work arrangement.
