Job Summary
Calibrate and repair mechanical and electrical measuring and testing equipment using company tooling and instruments. Prepare work reports and customer documentation accurately and efficiently using the Quantum software system. Collaborate within a team environment to achieve departmental goals while performing other duties as assigned. Requires a two-year diploma, Certified Calibration Technician designation or progress toward it, and a strong background in electronics with at least three years of production experience. Reports directly to the Metrology Shop Supervisor within Avmax's Avionics division in Calgary.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year diploma in a relevant field
- Strong background in electronics
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a production environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Transport Canada security clearances
- In order to be in compliance with the law, employees must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) designation, or progress toward obtaining the designation
- Previous hands-on mechanical experience
- Previous experience using Quantum or similar enterprise or maintenance software
- Aviation experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
