Job Summary
Metrology Technician responsible for calibrating and repairing TMDE in assigned measurement area; uses advanced technical knowledge and complex test instruments; maintains and repairs equipment, troubleshoots issues, and performs general maintenance; must read schematics and wiring diagrams and comply with ISO/IEC 17025 and USAF T.O. 00-20-14; requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience and at least 3 years in metrology. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to qualify for a National Agency Check within 10 years; proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows. Environment involves working with Force Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) in an environmentally controlled area in Heath, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree, or related equivalent experience will be considered
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in metrology and repair of TMDE
- Excellent working knowledge of calibration and maintenance of measurements standards
- Experience in physical/mechanical metrology is desired
- Knowledge to read and understand schematic and wiring drawings
- Thorough with ISO/IEC 17025 and USAF T.O. 00-20-14
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to qualify for or have completed a National Agency Check within ten years
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), Windows
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
