Metrology Technician - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

Job Summary
Conduct dimensional, visual, and water/airflow inspections on turbine airfoils using established procedures, drawings, and written instructions. Accept or reject material based on findings and transport parts, raw materials, and fixtures. Organize daily priorities for the Quality and Process Engineering group, utilizing standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment to verify part accuracy. Perform in-line checks, complete quality assurance logs, and troubleshoot various Measurement and Test Equipment as needed. Follow routine servicing procedures and inspector checklists for area upkeep. This 2nd shift position (M-TH, 4:15 PM to 4:45 AM) requires U.S. citizenship and 2+ years of inspection or quality experience. Located onsite at Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 or more years Inspection or Quality experience
- Ability to conduct physical activities such as bending, reaching, pulling, pushing
- Must be available for 2nd Shift (M-TH, 415pm to 245am)
- Must remain in role for 12 months before posting to a new position
- Must be able to attend select steps of the interview process in-person
- Must be able to commute to and from the assigned site
- Must be able to obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area
