Job Summary
Metrology Software Engineer responsibilities include developing and maintaining automated measurement and test solutions for instrumentation systems, designing and implementing software components (primarily LabVIEW and/or other languages), integrating software with measurement hardware, troubleshooting system-level issues, improving measurement processes, supporting deployment into production, collaborating with Hardware R&D and Manufacturing, working independently with ownership, documenting solutions, and supporting users during rollout. The role requires a hands-on, structured, and independent engineering mindset, strong collaboration across diverse teams, and ongoing skill development. Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field; fluent Hungarian and professional English; and experience in software development with a preference for LabVIEW and hardware-software integration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or similar
- Solid understanding of electronics and measurement principles
- Experience in software development (object-oriented approach preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in system-level scenarios
- Ability to work independently and think in a structured way
- Fluency in Hungarian (mandatory)
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Preferred: LabVIEW or similar test automation tools
- Experience in automated measurement or test systems
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation or NI hardware
- Programming experience in C#, Python, or similar languages
- Experience working in hardware-software integrated environments
