Job Summary
Program and troubleshoot Verisurf inspection programs for articulated arms, laser trackers, and fixed CMMs to perform dimensional inspections of precision-machined, metallic, and composite components. Conduct First Article, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with engineering and customer requirements while generating inspection reports, AS9102 documentation, and nonconformance records. Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment to ensure accurate results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve specification issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Work on a 9/80 schedule with an hourly range of $30–40.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience operating advanced metrology equipment, including FARO/Romer articulated arms, laser trackers, or similar inspection systems
- 3+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting Verisurf CMM software in a manufacturing or quality environment
- Experience performing First Article (AS9102), in-process, and final inspections on precision-machined and composite components
- Proficiency operating CMMs, articulated arms, laser trackers, and standard precision measuring equipment
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, blueprints, and GD&T
- Experience with contact and non-contact inspection methods, surface plate layouts, and AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national
- Must be a U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Must be a Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157
- Must be an Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to complete a drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes
- CMM or quality certifications (ASQ, NCSL, etc.)
- Proficiency with Verisurf and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen)
