Metrology Inspector, 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of components and assemblies using precision measurement equipment (Romer Arm, micrometers, calipers, height gauges). Conduct and document first article inspections per AS9102; verify coatings, finishes, and special processes against engineering drawings; identify and document nonconformances with traceability per procedures. Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to assess workmanship and resolve quality issues; ensure gauges and instruments are calibrated; maintain 5S, safety, and environmental compliance in the inspection area; support cross-functional quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of aerospace or precision manufacturing inspection experience
- Proficient in mechanical inspection using Romer Arm and other measurement tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret aerospace blueprints
- Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards
- Proven attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Experience with NADCAP and special process verification
- Verisurf Software
- JobBOSS or other ERP/MRP systems
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Romer Arm inspection equipment experience
- Familiarity with metallic and non-metallic thermal protection components

- Export control requirements: US Citizenship, lawful permanent resident (green card), or other eligible statuses as defined by U.S. regulations
