Job Summary
Metrology and Calibration Technician responsible for in-house calibrations, routine verifications, and diagnostics on critical manufacturing/instrument monitoring systems in a cGMP drug facility. Maintains qualified state of production assets, manages scheduled calibrations for BFS equipment and a range of instruments including temperature/humidity controllers, autoclaves, pressure transducers, pH meters, check-weighers, ovens, and sensors. Performs BOM-tied calibrations on BFS machinery (temperature probes, sterile air pressure sensors, parison thickness controls, vacuum transducers) and interfaces with PLC/HMI platforms (Panasonic, B&R, Bosch Rexroth) for loop verifications. Adheres to aseptic protocols, cleanroom standards, and GDP data practices; documents calibration data, investigations for Out-of-Tolerance events, and maintains traceability to NIST. Requires technical degree/experience in instrumentation or electronics, 2+ years calibration experience in pharma/regulated settings, PLC logic knowledge, and strong communication/organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 2+ years of hands-on calibration experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment
- Knowledge of PLC logic and controls
