Job Summary
Conduct engineering evaluations, maintenance tracking for U.S. Navy surface ships and submarines, and clerical support. Manage contract oversight, audit and inspection assistance, and human resources services. Perform DFS adjudication, critical work certification, and fleet technical assistance. Create Material Assessment Findings and report to the Assessment Director upon completion of Total Ship Readiness Assessment tasks. Maintain an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance and execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits. Requires an Associate Degree in Engineering or related field, 10 years of shipboard HM&E experience, and proficiency with naval engineering tracking metrics. Located at Naval Base San Diego with salary commensurate with background and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field
- 10 years of shipboard HM&E experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures
- Ability to execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits in accordance with assigned division protocols
- Ability to read and interpret NSI's, NSTM's, drawings, and other technical documentation
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- MS Office suite proficiency
- Ability to attend Technical Authority Training within 3 months of hire
- Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements
- Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communications
- Must possess and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to comply with all safety and environmental requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
