Job Summary

As a metallurgy researcher, contribute to the design and development of new stainless steel grades, define metallurgical routes, oversee industrialisation trials, and coordinate in-use property characterizations. Manage new product development projects by defining action plans and deliverables in collaboration with commercial, production, and R&D program teams; evaluate and negotiate resources; execute action plans; and communicate results through presentations and reports. Oversee research facilities to ensure availability and quality of results for the research center, and manage research technicians in hierarchical or functional situations. The role emphasizes multidisciplinary project management, the ability to progress multiple projects in parallel, curiosity about stainless steel markets, autonomy, proactivity, entrepreneurship, and strong written and spoken communication. Fluency in English and French is required. An Engineering or Master degree in Material Science and a PhD or first significant experience in R&D is expected.
