Metallurgical Engineer I

Investigate root cause and disposition non-conforming material and customer claims while analyzing product failure data and laboratory test results to develop solutions. Participate in process development and improvement for new and currently produced alloys by conducting or supervising tests on raw materials or finished products. Provide technical support for all phases of the primary melting operation from scrap selection to shipment, including training and guidance for hourly and salaried employees. Design and direct testing or control of processing procedures to evaluate technical specifications and economic factors.
