Job Summary
Lead metallurgical failure analysis and root cause investigations supporting manufacturing, quality, and customer claims. Provide technical metallurgical expertise to production teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners. Apply metallurgical analysis and modeling to support process optimization and new material applications. Serve as a technical mentor and subject matter expert for early-career engineers. This onsite role requires a hands-on individual contributor to thrive in applied problem-solving within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Significant industry experience in metals or materials manufacturing environments
- Strong background in failure analysis, applied metallurgy, and manufacturing support
- U.S. work authorization (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in steel or heavy metals manufacturing
- Exposure to computational modeling
- Ability to mentor junior engineers
