Job Summary
Assemble, test, and finish moderately complex mechanical products while supporting production and quality teams on the shop floor. Perform assembly and test functions using hand and power tools, fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment such as calipers and height gages. Review jobs and components to ensure production readiness, then count, size, and prepare tubes for chemical cleaning or buffing as required. Sleeve, box, and complete paperwork after inspection, applying epoxy tape and installing inserts and rivets to brackets. Identify non-conformances from test data and rework as instructed. Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, and test specifications to verify assemblies and approve associated paperwork. Participate in lean/continuous improvement activities and assist in training less experienced team members. This onsite, first-shift role (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Mon–Fri) offers health, vision, and dental benefits with potential for extended or permanent full-time employment at a well-established corporation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two or more years of industry-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
- Strong mechanical reasoning and hand/eye coordination/dexterity.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, inspection measurement equipment, and basic test equipment.
- Basic math, effective verbal and written communication, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to apply product and process knowledge and participate in continuous improvement and team activities.
