Job Summary
Prepare machinery by installing plates, dies, and tooling according to job orders. Operate stamping press equipment, regulating speeds, pressure, and temperature while feeding raw materials to maintain production. Perform in-process visual checks and dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to prevent defects. Conduct routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs; identify jams and request servicing as needed. Track order output, material usage, and downtime by accurately filling out production logs. Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines, including wearing required PPE. Monday–Friday, 2nd shift, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM, with overtime available and some mandatory weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Monday–Friday, 2nd shift, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
- some weekends are mandatory
- Prior experience as a machine operator, press operator, punch press operator, or production operator in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment
- Strong attention to detail for quality inspection and measurement work
- Able to read and follow job orders and production specifications
- Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to [50] lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Blueprint reading
- Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Forklift experience
- High school diploma or GED
