Operates CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal parts while reviewing electronic or written blueprints and specifications. Utilizes hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to fabricate shaped articles from sheet or plate metal, specifically spinning aluminum and stainless steel. Requires direct metal spinning experience and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Direct metal spinning experience
- Experience using various types of hand tools and/or hand-held power tools, floor mounted power tools and precision measuring tools on structures materials
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Ability to spin aluminum and stainless steel
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to use manual and CNC metal spinning machines
- Advance measuring skills: ability to read calipers and micrometers
