Job Summary
Metal Shop Technician will assist in fabrication and assembly of custom Switchgear structures, read blueprints, operate metal shop machinery (punch, brake, shear, saws), weld sheet metal, and prepare parts for coating. Requires use of hand and power tools, adherence to blueprints, and ability to follow the production schedule; infrequent travel for install/service. 2+ years in mechanical/metal work, tool proficiency, and safety-focused work habits are essential. Preferred welding certification and forklift experience. This is an hourly, non-exempt role on a 4x10 schedule, based in North Wales, PA, with in-person work arrangement; background checks and eligibility verifications are conducted.”,
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in general mechanical or metal working or associated field
- Experience in the use of hand tools and hand power tools
- Ability to read blueprints
- Valid driver’s license (for service-related positions)
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable)
