Job Summary
Operate manual or CNC machines to accurately cut material (aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys) to meet customer specifications in the Cut Extrusions department. Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, and use quality inspection tools (micrometers, calipers) to maintain dimensional tolerances. Monitor machine operation for continuous accuracy, measure workpiece dimensions throughout the process, perform basic machine maintenance (oil dies, pieces), and coordinate with the production supervisor to ensure customer requirements and delivery goals are met. Schedule flexibility supports a multi-shift environment; the role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum requirements: Math and measuring skills including fractions and decimals
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and stretch
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Minimum 18 years of age
